YAM2R Randomized Run 3: Screw Attack first and 100%

Finally, Screw Attack first!

... it's actually surprisingly limiting. It lets you break into the Distribution Center early from inside of it, instead of needing to get past the Zeta Metroid and all, but it's not helpful for activating the distribution robots by itself, and if you don't have Bombs or a decent supply of Power Bombs, even the theoretical early Gravity Suit isn't actually a thing. There's also very few bomb blocks the Screw Attack can actually destroy in AM2R, so even though it's being lumped in with Bombs and Power Bombs by the randomizer (The Golden Temple will always have Bombs, Power Bombs, or the Screw Attack somewhere inside of it), it actually has nearly no overlap with them in terms of accessing locations. It's nice to get to basically ignore most non-Boss and non-Metroid enemies, at least.

I tried to show off more stuff than I've done on my previous runs, such as the 'default' way of killing the Queen Metroid and the layout of some things I usually never enter the rooms of before they change. Going for 100% wasn't a planned thing: I got maybe halfway through the run, felt like I was ending up collecting an unusually large number of powerups, and decided to run with it.

It's really surprising to me that I was only a little over a minute over 2 hours at the end, though. With doing 100% on a randomized run that wasn't particularly convenient in its distribution of items, I figured I'd taken at least 2:20. I've also always been terrible at actually getting under 2 hours. Maybe for my next randomized run I'll try to get under 2 hours, and show off the ending art for that.

Really, this run went surprisingly well in general. I never died, and I was mostly fairly competent against Alphas and Gammas, unusually so. It's also stark how much having Spazer affected the Queen fight compared to the last run: instead of dying once and ending up on seriously low Energy on the second fight, I was pretty much constantly at or near full Energy.

Also, this is the first time I've seen larval Metroids slide back and forth while frozen. No idea what caused that particular bug.

I actually kept in the credits et al just to have it more obviously confirmed that yes I 100%-ed the game this run.
