Manga Stuff Index

For a variety of reasons, I spent a while reading manga a lot, and an experiment with this site was posting my thoughts on various such manga. It never prompted much of a response from people and I was always dissatisfied with the posts themselves, but I've made this index so they're more findable for those who might care.

Hueco Mundo population logistics. I honestly don't get why this type of math so often gets botched by fiction?

Bleach: Weirdly Benevolent Celestial Bureaucracy. Since first writing this post, it's become even funnier to me how Soul Society has a much better base than average to be a benevolent celestial bureaucracy, since Bleach's Soul Society is intentionally written as a brutal and ugly system.

Tokyo Ghoul: Partial impression/review. The very first manga review type thing I put up on this site, for a series I only checked out because someone wondered if my screenname was a reference to it. (It's not)

Vampire Game review. The premise was interesting and I did like the early parts a lot.

Sekai Oni review. I reread this sometime after this post went up and am not quite as positive on it nowadays as this post suggests... but I do still like it a lot.

Mahou Shojo Site of the End. A review of two manga that shared a writer and resultantly had a lot of overlap in flaws and whatnot so I covered them simultaneously. I honestly kind of regret reading these manga; they weren't just bad, they were kind of horrifying, and not the good kind of horrifying where that's intentional.

Imperfect Girl review. Like Sekai Oni, I reread this sometime after this post went up. Unlike Sekai Oni, I actually like it a lot more than I did when I wrote this post... though I'd still like to see a followup or something.

Samon the Summoner review. I still wish the original promise got delivered on, honestly.

Shishunki no Iron Maiden review. I still don't get the swerve in style toward the end.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia review. This is still something I totally recommend reading one's self. It's good.

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches review. This is also really, really good... well, for the first 100~ chapters. Less so what comes later. But even that stuff isn't terrible, it's just not amazing like the first 100~ chapters.

Revenge Classroom review. This has some pretty strong elements, but overall I wish it hadn't tried so hard to be a fable about revenge being bad.

Future Diary. I'm still so confused and disappointed by this manga.
