AM2R 1.4.3 Random Fusion Run

Yet Another Metroid 2 Remake has a new version, so time for a new run, however minor the differences might be. And they are pretty minor; mostly bug-fixes and some minor cosmetic changes. Though one of the changes is making the Hatchling's noises a bit more varied and happen way less frequently, so that's good for one's sanity if you're considering turning on Early Hatchling. There's a few actual gameplay changes, but they're really minor things most players might not even notice. (The patch notes refer to 'crumble blocks' being added that I either didn't see or didn't notice as being different, for example) I do appreciate the ability to have the in-game clock on-screen at all times now, though.

They still haven't addressed the lag issues entirely, though.

The actual run was fairly interesting, with a neat 'flow' almost like a regular Metroid run where I found myself repeatedly getting juuust the right things to go back and do some new things which got me other things and so on. It was quite cool!

The second two videos are less interesting overall (Because the late game of a random run is usually pretty same-y, but they show off some things like Charge Beam pulling pickups having been reworked into something less wrong-looking (Previously, pickups always tied to align horizontally and then slide toward you. Now they get into vertical or horizontal alignment and then slide toward you), Omega Metroids having randomized designs now, that one Zeta that could knock you out of its room having the entry modified so that's more or less impossible now, and a few other tweaks like that.

Pretty fun overall.

... aaaand I forgot to show off one of the secret things that got added in the last version. Whoops. Maybe next time.
