Risk of Rain UO Huntress

Unlike HAN-D, it took numerous tries to finally get a successful run -the Huntress has no good tools for dealing with massive Spite Bomb generation (No temporary invulnerability, and Blink's mobility enhancement doesn't address the issue as much as you might hope), her kiting ability is much less effective when Spirit combines with Honor to ensure most everything will survive a fair pounding while getting faster and faster, her restricted strike zone makes it really important to leverage terrain and to a fair extent just get lucky with enemy types and teleporter placement... she's probably not the worst class to try unlocking Origin with, but she's difficult, and in particular you have to be aware of your limitations and leverage your strengths. Arrange to fire through walls with Laser Glaive and to a lesser extent Cluster Bomb. Don't rely too heavily on ropes for safety -it's likely to backfire, one way or another. Keep in mind that Cluster Bomb is your only true answer to swarms and it only really works if you're confident terrain will force the enemy to cluster where the microbombs land, while Laser Glaive is your best tool for dealing with awkwardly-placed spawns above and below you.

And be extremely careful about Spite Bomb generation as you get deeper into the game. I've had runs that had 2000 HP when they got to the Contact Light, only to die to a single Elder Lemurian's Spite Bomb release due to tight terrain and poor planning. A class like the Loader can shrug that off with good reflexes, assuming Debris Field isn't locked. The Huntress is probably dead, since Blink doesn't provide any direct protection.

On the plus side, the Huntress is one class where no single skill is overly-key. Laser Glaive being locked takes away your ability to almost-directly attack up and down with bounces, and Cluster Bomb is much more your answer to swarms than Laser Glaive is, but there's some overlap there, and the two of them together are adequate replacement to spamming your basic arrows when they're locked. You'll almost never need to wait a full minute to cope with a situation due to Distortion locking a key skill.

This is actually a re-recording, as I managed to screw up and lose my original UO Huntress run's footage. Which is annoying, as I got a hilarious attack rate on the original recording. This run does at least show off Parent Spite Bomb spam, so that's something, and it also shows off how tricky Archer Bug swarms can be, though they're usually a Good Thing to roll on the temple. Even better, it shows off how nasty rolling Young Vagrants on the Contact Light is -they're surprisingly cheap for the director, and while one or two or even three is a manageable problem, once you've got a dozen on your tail it's pretty nightmarish. The Huntress is one of the only classes that can kind of cope with endless Young Vagrants, since she's able to fire on the move. Most classes, if they get Young Vagrants in an UO run, are going to need to just run for Providence as fast as possible and focus on surviving rather than trying to fight.
